Fishing Info for Caddo Lake 

Caddo Lake offers a wide variety of angling species; including but not limited to: Largemouth Bass/Crappie/Catfish/White-Yellow & Stripped Bass

Bass spawn usually takes place from late February through April. The lake record for large mouth bass is 16 lb. 17 oz.
Sand bass are plentiful on Caddo. We usually have a good run in the river during spring and fall with a large number of fish in the 2-3lb range.

Crappie are excellent in spring (February-April) and can be found in shallow water under the trees.
Bluegill and Red Ear beds are plentiful in mid May. They are in and around the islands, so bring the kids for some excitement and memories of a lifetime.

Visitors will enjoy a variety of vegetation and animal life such as American lotus and lily pads, waterfowl, alligators, turtles, frogs, snakes, raccoons, minks, nutria, beavers, squirrels, and armadillos.

No matter who you go with we recommend getting on the water and seeing a little piece of Caddo paradise. These tours will give you on the water views of the wildlife, cypress trees and maybe an alligator or two!  Big Cypress Bayou, Government Ditch, Turtle Shell, Alligator Bayou, Old Folks Playground, Aimes Springs Basin, Star Ditch, Dragover and Hog Wallow are just a few of the unique names of these inlets and passageways.

Paul is a licensed guide who owns and operates Caddo Lake Guide Service. He has lived on and fished Caddo Lake all his life. Currently he fishes over 225 days a year and has done so for the past 16 years. Paul holds the record for the most bass over 8 lb. With the 2 largest over 12 lb.
