Caddo Lake offers a wide variety of angling species. Bass spawn usually takes place from late February through April. The lake record for large mouth bass is 16 lb. 2 oz. Sand bass are plentiful on Caddo. We usually have a good run in the river during spring and fall with a large number of fish in the 2 - 3lb. range. Crappie are excellent in spring (February - April) and can be found in shallow water under the trees. Bluegill and Red Ear beds are plentiful in mid May. They are in and around the islands, so bring the kids for some excitement and memories of a lifetime. |
